Live gaming centres face Rs. 6.46 Mn in outstanding taxes

The Department of Inland Revenue has stated that seven owners operating live broadcast gaming centres collected annual fees totalling Rs. 340,750,000 for the year 2024.

The department also noted that these owners owe Rs. 6,457,546 in outstanding taxes for 2024.

Furthermore, six casino centres are being operated in the country, and all outstanding licence fees have been collected from these establishments.

The information was provided in response to a request made under the Right to Information Act.
