Minister of Health and Mass Media Nalinda Jayatissa stated in Parliament today (10) that the statement made by National Democratic Front MP Chamara Sampath Dassanayke that Rs. 7 million had been spent on the “Clean Sri Lanka” inauguration ceremony was false.

Noting that only Rs. 900,000 have been approved as payment for the event, he stated that the payment has not been made yet.

He also mentioned that the opposition lawmaker has confused the expense report with the ‘quotation’ traditionally called for this event.
