Asoka Ranwala, who resigned from his position as the speaker of parliament, has called for a stop to political mud-slinging forthwith.

He says he refrained from speaking to the media all this time since such shameless and unpleasant politics should end.

Speaking to ‘Nanaththare’ YouTube channel, Ranwala said he found no need to show his educational qualifications to anyone.

He had his education in Japan not to submit a certificate and obtain a promotion at the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation, he added.
