Former President Wickremesinghe pays tribute to late Kenyan leader Raila Odinga

Former Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe has extended his condolences to Kenyan President Dr. William Samoel Ruto over the passing of former Kenyan Prime Minister Raila Amolo Odinga, hailing him as a “visionary leader” and a staunch advocate for democracy and social justice.

In a message of condolence, Wickremesinghe expressed sorrow over Odinga’s death and offered sympathies to the Government and people of Kenya, as well as to Odinga’s family.

“Prime Minister Odinga will be remembered across Africa as a visionary leader, dedicated to the furthering of democracy and championing social justice and good governance,” the statement read.
