The 2026 budget for the NPP-run Padiyatalawa Pradeshiya Sabha has been defeated for a second time.
At a vote, it was rejected by 12 members of the SJB, SLPP, UNP, Sarvajana Balaya and SLFP as against the seven NPP members.
