Minister of Health and Mass Media Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa said that there might be attempts to destabilise the government by spreading misinformation and creating public unrest, particularly in response to ongoing anti-corruption measures.

Speaking at a public gathering, the Minister claimed that certain groups are working to manufacture conspiracies aimed at discrediting the administration.

He alleged that efforts to clamp down on corruption and revoke undue privileges have triggered deliberate attempts to provoke public anger and disrupt the government’s progress.

Reiterating the government’s commitment to maintaining transparency and discipline, he said that those seeking to derail reform efforts through false narratives would not succeed.
