Triple jumper Pasindu Malshan and quarter-miler Sayuri Mendis were named the Best Male and Female Athletes, respectively, at the National Youth Sports Festival 2025 following the conclusion of the event in Diyagama.

Both athletes were awarded Yamaha motorbikes in recognition of their performances at the national-level competition, which brought together the country’s leading young talent across multiple sports disciplines.

The National Youth Sports Festival, one of Sri Lanka’s largest grassroots sporting events, drew participation from nearly 150,000 competitors through a series of zonal and district-level competitions held ahead of the national stage.
