Royal Challengers Bengaluru claimed its maiden Indian Premier League title after it beat Punjab Kings in the IPL 2025 final in Ahmedabad on Tuesday.

After being inserted, RCB posted 190 for nine in the first innings. Opener Virat Kohli top-scored with 48.

The Rajat Patidar-led side never allowed PBKS to take control of the chase, chipping in with constant wickets.

RCB eventually closed off the game, winning by six runs.

This was RCB’s fourth appearance in an IPL final, following defeats in 2009, 2011 and 2016.

For Punjab Kings, this is the second defeat in as many appearances in an IPL final.
