Visa delays force Sri Lanka out of Netball Youth World Cup

Sri Lanka has been officially withdrawn from the Netball World Youth Cup 2025 in Gibraltar after failing to secure visas in time.

The under-21 team was unable to obtain the necessary travel documentation through the British High Commission, a requirement due to Gibraltar’s status as a British Overseas Territory.

As a result, Sri Lanka has been forced to forfeit all of its group stage matches.

Zambia has suffered the same fate, also failing to meet visa requirements ahead of the competition.

The tournament, featuring youth squads from across the globe, began earlier this week and is scheduled to run until 28 September.
