An investigation is underway against 15 suspects for allegedly aiding, abetting, and financing to propagate the foreign extremist terrorist organization ISIS within Sri Lanka, the TID informed Colombo additional magistrate Lahiru Silva yesterday (17).

Information has been uncovered suggesting the suspects provided aid, encouragement, and financial assistance for ISIS activities, including holding extremist lectures.

Some of the suspects are already facing indictments before the high court for aiding and abetting the Easter Sunday attacks.

The additional magistrate ordered the TID to expeditiously submit the progress of the investigation to the court.
