More than Rs. 640 million was spent on vehicle repairs for the Presidential Secretariat over the past year, according to a report by the National Audit Office, as cited by the Divaina newspaper.
The audit revealed that 189 vehicles underwent repairs, with individual repair costs ranging from Rs. 1 million to Rs. 28 million.
Notably, 53 of these vehicles were reportedly repaired multiple times and in some cases, up to 17 times.
The findings have raised concerns over the management and oversight of public funds allocated for official transportation at the highest level of government.
