Leader of the House and Minister Bimal Rathnayake has indicated that a cabinet reshuffle may take place in the near future.

Speaking during a programme on state-owned ITN, the Minister stated that changes in the duties assigned to Cabinet members, including himself, are being considered.

According to Minister Rathnayake, the potential reshuffle has been prompted by requests made by several ministers, including his own.

The Minister further revealed that in some cases, new individuals may be appointed, suggesting that the restructuring process may already be underway.
