The Sri Lanka Computer Emergency Response Forum reports that more than 6,700 cybercrimes have been recorded so far this year.

According to the Forum, nearly 600 incidents involving online harassment, digital threats, and financial fraud have been traced to major social media platforms such as Facebook and WhatsApp.
