Duminda gets a transfer from prison hospital

Ex-MP Duminda Silva has been transferred from the prison hospital to a general ward at the Welikada Prison, said prisons chief Gamini B. Dissanayake yesterday (10).

This follows a recommendation by a specialist doctor.

Silva has been sentenced to death over the killing of Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra.

Meanwhile, posts are getting shared on social media, alleging political revenge following his transfer to a general ward.

It is claimed the Hiru channel, owned by his brother Rayynor Silva, is strongly critical of certain government action.
