Former cabinet ministers under investigation for alleged illicit assets

Sri Lankan authorities have launched a special investigation into the assets of three former cabinet ministers.

The probe is being carried out under the direction of the Illegal Assets and Intellectual Property Investigation Unit, and is currently focused on former ministers Mahindananda Aluthgamage, Anura Priyadarshana Yapa, and Rohitha Abeygunawardena.
