Tamil Progressive Alliance (TPA) leader Mano Ganesan says that the accusations against former president Ranil Wickremesinghe over the London visit is completely an act of political revenge.

Speaking at a media briefing, Ganesan accused National People’s Power (NPP) leader and current President Anura Kumara Dissanayake of exploiting the issue for political gain.

“If the expenses were truly extravagant, a letter could have been sent to recover the cost or legal action initiated. Instead, the matter is being played out in the media for political mileage,” he said.

He also said that he was prepared to debate in parliament the term of the president and the line between his private and official lives.
