Minister’s ex-secretary received pardon controversially – Weerawansa

The inmate of Anuradhapura Prison who controversially received a pardon on account Vesak is said to be a former secretary of an incumbent powerful minister, according to National Freedom Front (NFF) leader Wimal Weerawansa.

Had he been released wrongfully, he should be arrested, he told journalists, adding however, prison officials got the blame and were made to go behind bars.
