Namal Karunaratne admits NPP’s waning popularity

Popularity of the NPP regime is diminishing due to the people’s lack of understanding of the ways of governance, deputy minister Namal Karunaratne told journalists in Kandy.

It is apparent those who voted for the NPP are distancing themselves from the party, he said.

However, others are taking their place and they are having faith in the government, Karunaratne added.
