NTMI, NYSC chairpersons step down in continuing resignations at state institutions

Dr. Ruwan Wijayamuni says he resigned as chairman of the National Transport Medical Institute (NTMI) a few weeks ago due to a personal reason.

He was appointed to the position by former subject minister Vijitha Herath and is the fifth head of a state institution to have resigned.

NYSC chairman resigns

In a continuing resignation spree at state institutions, chairman of the National Youth Services Council (NYSC) Chinthaka Hewapathirana too has tendered his resignation.

Previously, Senesh Bandara Dissanayake left the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation and Ramal Siriwardena stepped down as the chairman of the Sri Lanka Transport Board, followed by the chairman of the National Housing Development Authority (NHDA) Monti Ranatunga.
