Leader of the Samabima Party, Deepthi Kumara Gunarathne, says that despite a year in power, the National People’s Power (NPP) government has failed to bring any substantial reforms.
Speaking during a discussion on ‘Ideas Front’, Gunarathne said the current administration, like its predecessors, continues to be influenced by the business community, limiting systemic reforms.

Meanwhile, political analyst Vipula Karunathilaka highlighted three key post-disaster challenges facing the country: rising household debt, pressure on commercial properties, and the erosion of international prestige.

The discussion was moderated by Narada Bakmeewewa.
