Demonstrations broke out in London on Saturday as Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) General Secretary Tilvin Silva faced protests from supporters of the LTTE during his visit to engage with the Sri Lankan diaspora.

Silva was in the United Kingdom to attend meetings and speak with expatriate Sri Lankans.

The protests occurred ahead of a public meeting organized by the National People’s Power (NPP) London Branch.
