Ranil not guilty at this stage, says Lal Kantha

Sri Lanka’s Agriculture Minister K.D. Lal Kantha has stressed that former President Ranil Wickremesinghe remains innocent until proven guilty.

Speaking to reporters, Minister Lal Kantha highlighted that the upcoming court date may result either in the granting of bail or a decision to proceed directly to hearings. 

He underscored the importance of allowing the judicial process to unfold without interference.
