Finance secretary has submitted a sworn affidavit to courts, admitting the legality of bar permits issued during the presidency of Ranil Wickremesinghe, claimed Waruna Rajapakse.

In a video posted on his internet channel, Rajapakse asked the government to withdraw court action against those licenses and allow them to operate.

Alleging them to have been issued to politicians, several persons took the matter to courts.

Minister Wasantha Samarasinghe, named a witness, nor any of the accused politicians, were present at the hearings.
