Victor Ivan, the iconic editor of Ravaya, has passed at the age of 75.

Known for his unrelenting commitment to exposing corruption, Ivan spearheaded Ravaya during a turbulent era in Sri Lanka’s history, turning it into a powerful voice for justice.

A Marxist rebel in his youth, Ivan transitioned into journalism in 1986, when Sri Lanka faced youth uprisings and political turmoil.

He was navigating the challenges of a nation grappling with many problems.

His books, including The Queen of Deceit and Pansale Viplawaya, offered incisive critiques of Sri Lanka’s political landscape.

Sri Lanka has lost a fearless advocate for truth and accountability.
