Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) Parliamentarian D.V. Chanaka has alleged that a Cabinet Minister in the current National People’s Power (NPP) government is representing Sampath Manamperi, who is in custody over serious narcotics-related charges.

Speaking during a televised political discussion, MP Chanaka claimed the Minister in question holds significant sway over legal affairs in the present administration, describing him as one of the government’s most powerful legal figures.

He further stated that he intends to publicly release all relevant court documents and case-related information in the coming days, promising full disclosure on what he described as a deeply troubling development.
