Sarvajana Balaya aims to support the creation of a formidable force to take forward the vision of Mahinda Rajapaksa, said its leader Dilith Jayaweera.

Speaking to journalists following the formation of a Sarvajana Sabha for Nakkawatta, he said Rajapaksa deserved to have statues built in his honour.

Family politics was his ruination, Jayaweera said, adding his son Namal Rajapaksa’s politics via social media cannot make him president.
