TUs warn of a fresh struggle for state sector pay hike

The latest salary revision for the state sector has increased anomalies by 80 per cent, said president of the Academy of Health Professionals (AHP) Ravi Kumudesh.

Speaking at a media briefing in Colombo, he called for a rectification of those anomalies, or else face yet another struggle by the working people very soon.

The basic salary increase is nothing much and it is not a sizeable one either, Kumudesh added.
