Wayamba University witnessed a massive torchlit protest last night (12), organised by the student union to voice concerns over alleged administrative negligence and inadequate campus facilities.

The demonstration highlighted several key issues, including the failure to conduct proper investigations into the reported forced detention of a third-year female student in a lecturer’s room for two weeks.

Students also raised grievances over arbitrary failing of students, a lack of laboratory facilities, and the administration’s perceived disregard for their concerns.
