Singer Sangeeth Wijesuriya has called the government drive against narcotic drugs as a mere hype.
In a discussion with an internet channel, he said he had doubts about the morality of the president, from whom he gained nothing personally.
Wijesuriya said he would speak out against the president fearlessly if he is in the wrong.
He questioned as to what was happening to the drugs said to have been seized by the kilos.
It is a hype only and the government won’t rectify it, he added.
