Drug sales targeting school children on the rise

With the increase in the sale of various drugs targeting school children, there is a risk of the youth of this country being destroyed, says Dr. Ilango Gandhi, leader of the All Lanka Progressive Workers’ Front.

Speaking to the media in Hatton, Gandhi underscored growing reports of drug distribution in the plantation regions, with school children and youth being exposed to various narcotics.

“This is a very sad situation because these young people, like the children who are going to school today, are the future of this country. What will happen to the future of this country when these people are destroyed by drug use like this?” he said.
