Minister of Industries Sunil Handunnetti says that if there were even a single country in the world without shootings, it would be considered a remarkable achievement.

He made these remarks speaking to the media after attending an event held in Colombo.

Minister Handunnetti conceded that the current government has not yet been able to completely eradicate the underworld.

He added that if the underworld were wiped out entirely, the police would barely have any work left to do.
