Opposition MP Jagath Withanage has claimed a threat to his life, saying the IGP has confirmed it and instructed the SSP of Kalutara to take appropriate measures.
Addressing parliament, Withanage spoke of a plan to kill him when he leaves his house.
The MP requested speaker Jagath Wickramaratne to act upon his request for protection.
