A shooting occurred earlier today at the Hulftsdorp courts complex in Colombo where a well-known drug trafficker and criminal figure, “Ganemulla Sanjeewa,” was fatally shot inside the court premises.
According to authorities, the shooter entered the court premises disguised as a lawyer.
After carrying out the attack, the assailant managed to flee the scene, and police are currently conducting investigations to apprehend the suspect.
Ganemulla Sanjeewa, who was being held at Boosa Prison, was brought to court for proceedings earlier this morning (19).
In a further development, police also found the revolver used in the shooting inside the court complex.
