Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe is ready to provide advice to the government on disaster management if needed, but neither he nor the others in the UNP intend to take up any positions, United National Party (UNP) General Secretary Thalatha Athukorala said yesterday (17).
“Former President Wickremesinghe is a man of ability and full of knowledge. He is willing to help the government in managing disasters. Even we can help as we have learnt from our leader,” she told a media briefing.
