Sri Lanka surges to 4th place in latest ICC ODI rankings

Sri Lanka who had a successful run in One-Day Internationals with six series wins out of eight since their disappointing 2023 Cricket World Cup campaign has moved to 4th place in the ICC Men’s ODI team rankings after the annual updates.

The latest rankings, which rate all matches played since May 2024 at 100% and those of the previous two years at 50%, see a record 100 teams listed in T20Is after the annual update.

Sri Lanka had a very productive home run with series wins against Zimbabwe, Afghanistan, India, West Indies, New Zealand and Australia in 2024 to move up two places from 6th to 4th with a rating of 104.

India heads the ODI rankings with a rating of 124 followed by New Zealand 109 and Australia 109.

In the Men’s Test team rankings Sri Lanka remain in 6th position with a rating of 87, while in the Men’s T20I team rankings Sri Lanka has moved one notch higher to 7th with a rating of 235.

Australia are top of the Men’s Test Team rankings followed by England and South Africa, while India heads the Men’s T20I Team rankings followed by Australia and England.
