The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) has proposed a 6.8% increase in electricity tariffs for the final quarter of 2025, prompting the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) to launch a nationwide public consultation process.
In a statement issued today, the PUCSL said it will gather public feedback through written submissions and a series of nine public consultation sessions, one in each province, beginning 18 September.
Members of the public have until 7 October to share their views on what would be the third electricity tariff revision for the year.
