Industry and Entrepreneurship Development Minister Sunil Handunnetti has invited members of the public to submit complaints, questions, requests for clarification and proposals concerning the work of his ministry directly to him through WhatsApp voice messages.

The initiative is intended to provide the public with a direct channel to raise issues relating to the ministry’s services and responsibilities.

Members of the public can send voice messages to 077 554 1646, outlining matters they wish to bring to the Minister’s attention.

According to the Minister, responses will be provided based on the national importance of the issues raised, with selected responses to be published on his official Facebook page.

The move provides an additional avenue for citizens and entrepreneurs to communicate concerns directly to the ministry, particularly on issues affecting industry, entrepreneurship development and related government services.

The ministry has not indicated that every message received will receive an individual public response, with the Minister’s office stating that responses will be selected according to their national importance.
