Minister of Health Dr Nalinda Jayatissa addressed ongoing claims from the opposition that the government has failed to fulfill its promises.

Noting that the opposition’s primary argument is based on the notion that the government’s pledges remain unfulfilled, he emphasized that such claims, while frequently discussed in Parliament and the media, do not resonate with the public.

“The opposition has nothing to present to the people except claims that we have not delivered on our promises,” Jayatissa said. “But even if we acknowledge this, the people will not accept it.”

The Minister also suggested that the truth of the matter would become clear in the upcoming local government elections.
