Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa held a meeting yesterday (27) with leaders and representatives of opposition parties at the Opposition Leader’s office in Colombo, where he expressed gratitude to those who contributed to securing the freedom of former President Ranil Wickremesinghe.
Addressing the gathering, Premadasa thanked political leaders, lawyers, civil society members, and the public for their dedicated efforts in what he described as a crucial step for justice.
The meeting also resolved to offer legal assistance to individuals who have reportedly faced government intimidation following their participation in peaceful protests.
