The United National Party (UNP) headquarters had a visit by a team from the Criminal Investigation Department yesterday afternoon (10) following a tip-off about former minister Manusha Nanayakkara.

They left empty-handed, even after Nanayakkara was seen at ‘Sirikotha’ amid claims that he had gone abroad.

He even spoke to the media and said he had no fear that he would get arrested.

Nanayakkara admitted that his brother and certain others had used his name and committed fraudulent acts.

He also conceded having taken risks and signed agreements by using his powers as the foreign employment minister.
