Justice minister Harshana Nanayakkara says he is unaware of the basis for former chief justice Jayantha Jayasuriya getting the position of Sri Lanka’s permanent representative at the United Nations.

Nanayakkara said that Jayasuriya should have already retired by the time the NPP came to power.

He said this during a programme on Swarnavahini.
