Manusha goes to CID while brother gets bail

The brother of former labour and foreign employment minister Manusha Nanayakkara has been bailed out.

Produced before the Gampaha magistrate’s court today (17), Thisara Iroshana was ordered four sureties of Rs. 10 million each.

He was arrested on 28 December on a charge of defrauding Rs. 03 million by promising jobs in the Netherlands.

In the meantime, Manusha Nanayakkara has been ordered to appear before the Criminal Investigation Department and give a statement with regard to investigations into foreign employment frauds during his ministerial tenure.

He has already filed anticipatory bail from the Colombo magistrate’s court.
