Ranil heads to India to address pressing global challenges with Modi

Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe is scheduled to depart for New Delhi, India, today (27) to engage in a crucial discussion on international affairs. 

Scheduled to take place on February 28 at the Bharat Mandapam, the inaugural NXT Conclave 2025 will bring together some of the most influential global leaders, policymakers, pioneers, and industry visionaries to address pressing global challenges and drive impactful solutions. 

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend as the Chief Guest.

Adding international perspectives, former Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe will join as a guest of honour.

The event will also feature former Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper and former Australian Prime Minister Anthony Abbott.

This marks Wickremesinghe’s third trip to India in recent months.

He is expected to return to the island on March 2.
