The Presidential Secretariat has refused to provide details of president Anura Kumara Dissanayake’s domestic trips, as requested under right to information.

Jinath Premaratne applied for the details on 04 August, but 23 days later, the Secretariat turned it down as per RTI act’s clause 5(1)(b)(i) that refers to direct involvement of the president’s security.

It informed the applicant that an appeal could be submitted within 14 days as per clause 31(1) of the act.
