Sri Lanka’s foreign reserve assets decline

Sri Lanka’s official foreign reserve assets have decreased by US$ 206 million to US$ 6.08 billion in June 2025, data released by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) disclosed.

This is a reduction of 3.3% in comparison to figures from the month of May.

Sri Lanka’s foreign exchange reserves have reduced from US$ 6.231 billion to US$ 6.023 billion.

Furthermore, Sri Lanka’s gross official reserves have not grown since October 2024.
