The National Lottery Board has set a new milestone by awarding the highest-ever lottery prize in Sri Lankan history, with a staggering Rs. 474,599,422 won at the 2210th Mega Power draw, held on June 16.

The winning ticket was sold by H.A. Janaki Hemamala, a long-standing and dedicated lottery sales agent based in Gokarella.

This record-breaking jackpot surpasses the previous Mega Power prize of Rs. 230 million, making it the largest single lottery payout ever awarded in the country.

Officials from the National Lottery Board hailed the event as a historic achievement and commended the role of grassroots agents like Hemamala in connecting communities to life-changing opportunities.
