Deputy Minister of Defence Aruna Jayasekara stated that his government did not make reckless decisions, such as reducing the prices of goods or cutting taxes, upon coming to power.

He emphasized that unlike previous governments, which pushed the country into an economic crisis by implementing such measures, the current administration took steps to strengthen the economy through a well-planned approach.

He made these remarks while addressing the media in Embilipitiya.
