Cardiologist Dr. Gotabhaya Ranasinghe stated that the number of heart patients reported daily in Sri Lanka has increased.
Addressing a media briefing held in Colombo on 31 March, he further stated that between 175 – 200 cases of heart disease are reported daily.
He also noted the lack of proper dietary practices and unhealthy lifestyle habits as major reasons contributing to this increase.
