The 2026 IPL will include seven Sri Lankan cricketers with a mix of fresh signings at the mini-auction and familiar faces retained by their franchises.

Three Sri Lanka players found new homes at Tuesday’s mini-auction.

Opener Pathum Nissanka was signed by Delhi Capitals, while legspinner Wanindu Hasaranga was snapped up by Lucknow Super Giants.

Fast bowler Matheesha Pathirana also returned to the league after being picked by Kolkata Knight Riders.

Four others will continue with their existing teams after being retained ahead of the season.

Delhi Capitals have kept seamer Dushmantha Chameera, maintaining their pace options, while Royal Challengers Bengaluru opted to retain left-arm fast bowler Nuwan Thushara.

Sunrisers Hyderabad have doubled down on Sri Lankan talent, retaining both Kamindu Mendis and Eshan Malinga as part of their squad planning for the upcoming campaign.
