NPP MP asks police to be lenient to arrested suspect

National People’s Power (NPP) MP Kitnan Selvaraj has influenced the police after the arrest of a man accused of illegal tree felling, according to an audio now circulating in social media.

The MP has asked a senior policeman, with the OIC not present at the police station at the time, to be lenient to the suspect and not to record his offence.
